Hope Ministries is a faith-based organization established in 2003 with a vision to bring the light of the Gospel and the love of Christ into rural, tribal, and urban communities across India. What began humbly as a small cottage prayer fellowship with just five believers has today grown into a vibrant ministry impacting hundreds of families. In 2015, Hope Ministries was formally registered, strengthening its foundation to carry out both spiritual and social service activities.Through church planting, discipleship training, evangelism, and community support, Hope Ministries continues to reach the unreached, nurture believers, and transform communities with the message of hope and salvation in Christ Jesus.

Rev. Joseph Raju Kolakaluri is the visionary founder of Hope Ministries. His personal encounter with Jesus Christ in 1997 radically transformed his life, leading him to dedicate himself fully to God’s service. Encouraged by his spiritual mentor, he pursued theological education and received his first theological certificate in 1998–1999. He went on to complete a Bachelor of Theology (B.Th.), a Bachelor of Divinity (B.D.) from Senate of Serampore University, and a Master of Arts (M.A.) in secular studies.
In 2003, after completing his theological training, he began his missionary journey by ministering in rural and tribal villages. Starting as a translator, trainer, and church planter, he eventually established the Church of Hope, the urban base from which Hope Ministries continues its mission today. Over the years, God has enabled him to lead numerous spiritual and social initiatives, resulting in the establishment of 19 tribal churches and ongoing discipleship programs.
His life’s vision remains clear and steadfast: to win rural and tribal communities for Christ and establish sustainable churches that transform lives for God’s glory.
